SOCIALISATION PROGRAMME
At Doodledoos we firmly believe that socialising puppies begins early! Just two or three days after their birth the process of Early Neurological Stimulation begins with gentle touch and specific exercises which help our puppies develop resilience and coping mechanisms that bear long term benefits. Alongside the ENS programme we run Early Scent Introduction which enhances their ability to identify and react to a variety of scents. As the puppies grow and are able to run about, we introduce the concept of Free Work providing an enriching environment with various items and surfaces for puppies to explore freely, building confidence and communication skills.
While our puppies are busy investigating and learning all these new skills they hear sounds that will prepare them for the big wide world - washing machines, tumble dryers, hairdryer, hoover, fireworks, thunderstorms, babies crying, voices, motorbikes - you name it! With the aid of everyday household items and Sociable Sounds CDs, radio and TV, our puppies become desensitised to things they will encounter in later life, giving them confidence and ability to manage them in the future.

SOUND
Sociable sounds are played to our puppies from a very early age. As soon as their ears open at around 2 weeks they hear sounds that will prepare them for life. These sounds need to be played on a regular basis in order for desensitisation to continue, so it's vital for new owners to carry on this work with their new puppies.
